It’s no secret that the Pokemon Go craze has spawned a few new franchises in recent months, and some of them have been rather successful.
One of them is Pokémon GO, a mobile game which lets players hunt and catch virtual monsters using their phones or tablet.
However, the company behind the game is currently trying to make sure that its newest title doesn’t just get better.
On Monday, Pokémon GO director Masahiro Sakurai was talking about a possible future update that would bring Pokémon GO to iOS devices and Android devices.
He’s also said that the game could soon make its way to Nintendo’s new handheld console, the Nintendo Switch, which is expected to launch in early 2018.
“If I can find a way to bring Pokémon to iOS and Android, I would be happy to work on that,” Sakurai said, according to Kotaku.
“There’s no reason why we can’t do that.”
The announcement comes in the wake of a move by the Pokémon Company to put Pokemon Go in its game on iOS and the Nintendo NX, which will include Pokemon GO on its hardware.
Nintendo is also planning to release a new version of the Pokémon GO app for Android and iOS devices sometime this year, which could be the next step in bringing the game to Nintendo devices.
Sakurai has also said previously that he’s not entirely sure when the game will finally be available for download on iOS devices.
“I’m trying to do it soon,” he said in an interview with GameSpot earlier this month.
“But right now, it’s a matter of working on it.
I want to make it a priority.”
In addition to Pokémon GO being a mobile title, the Pokemon Company has also released a new trailer for the game, which you can check out below.
